Flooding Warning Devices Installed in Ulujami

In Ulujami Urban Village, we install the device at three points

Flood warning devices will be installed in flood-prone areas in Jakarta which aims to provide the information about potential flooding. By doing so, local people can conduct early anticipation and evacuation.

The devices made in Japan began to be installed in Ulujami Urban Village, South Jakarta, precisely at RW 07 near Ulujami Indah Housing Complex, Sasana Krida RW 03, and RW 05.

As quoted by beritajakarta.com, there have been 3 poles plus cables installed in such areas. The flooding warning device was programmed in real time, and its technology using the radio channel with frequency 54-65 MHz.

There are two boxes as high as 1 meter reads Step Down Transformer with a JRC logo (Japan Radio Co. Ltd.). It used as a server to announce information on water levels at Pesanggrahan River. If the device goes off, locals should immediately prepare and evacuate valuables.

"In Ulujami Urban Village, we install the device at three points," detailed Head of Ulujami Urban Village, Gukguk Tri Rahayu, Tuesday (1/13).
